When we are secure in our identity in Christ, resting fully in his forgiveness and his love, racism has no place to gain a foothold in our lives. Men, as the priests of our homes, we are responsible before God for how we lead our home spiritually. As fathers, we need to embrace this role as leader with a desire to produce Christlike children by the grace of God. Our leadership role includes being role models, having a plan and a strategy, setting direction, and taking initiative.

Throughout human history, there has been more friction between people over finances than any other thing. The reason is because many people try and invest in a relationship with God while also investing in some kind of lucrative endeavor. The problem is, sometimes there is more time, energy, and attention given to growing physical wealth than there is to growing our spiritual health. If we are not careful, we will find ourselves more dedicated to the temporal things of this earth rather than the eternal things of heaven. Pay attention to what gets the bulk of your passion each day. If it something that does not have eternal value, it is time for a change.
