What is the Joy of the Lord?
Romans 14:7 | Wed, Oct 29, 2025 | Pastor Terrell Taylor

What will your joy allow you to endure? The joy of the Lord may be inexplicable to those who don’t possess it. But for the believer in Christ, the joy of the Lord is truly our strength. And as we abide in Christ, the True Vine, we will be filled with His strength and vitality, and we will produce the fruit of the His Spirit, including joy, by the grace of God.

The Numbering of Our Days
Psalm 90:12 | Wed, Oct 22, 2025 | Pastor Terrell Taylor

In this final week of the Psalms, we reflect on Moses' profound reflection on the eternality of God and the brevity of human life. Psalm 90 challenges us to gain a heart of wisdom by properly understanding our place in light of God's eternal nature. Our souls are filled when we learn to enjoy the small things in life. We are put in our proper place when we recognize our finite nature and God’s infinite existence.

The Shepherd’s Care
Psalm 23:1-6 | Wed, Oct 08, 2025 | Pastor Terrell Taylor

In week 2, as we look at Psalm 23, David paints a beautiful picture of God's intimate care for His people. We'll explore the rich metaphors and comforting truths found in these six verses. God is a Good Shepherd who provides for us and protects us, and our souls long to be connected to Him. As vulnerable sheep, we must be careful to remain obedient and rest in His presence.

The Path of the Righteous
Psalm 1:1-6 | Sun, Oct 05, 2025 | Pastor Terrell Taylor

We begin our series on the Book of Psalms by exploring Psalm 1, which sets the foundation for the entire book of Psalms. It reveals a deep spiritual truth: there are two paths in life—the way of the righteous and the way of the wicked. One leads to blessing, rootedness, and fruitfulness. The other leads to emptiness and destruction. As we reflect on this psalm, we’ll be challenged to examine where we’re rooted, how we’re being shaped, and what it truly means to flourish in God’s way.

Let’s Talk About Job
Job 1:1-20 | Thu, Aug 21, 2025 | Pastor Terrell Taylor

The Book of Job explores profound questions about suffering, faith, and the nature of God. It challenges simplistic notions of divine justice and highlights the mystery of suffering, urging readers to trust in God's wisdom even when the reasons for trials are unclear.

Why Do the Righteous Suffer?
Genesis 37:1-10 | Thu, Aug 14, 2025 | Pastor Terrell Taylor

Could it be that God does not cause bad things to happen to us? Could it be that “How could God do this to me?” is really the wrong question for us to ask? The psalmist writes in Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV), “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” He does not say, “My pain comes from the Lord”, or “My tragedy comes from the Lord”, or “My suffering comes from the Lord”, “He says my help comes from the Lord.”

Race
1 Corinthians 15:58 | Fri, Jul 11, 2025 | Pastor Lou Reynolds

Stay focused on Jesus in your race. Don’t be derailed or distracted by the things people may say. Stand firm on God’s purpose and promise over your life. Your race is both a sprint and a marathon at the same time. We run with endurance the race that is marked out for us understanding that we are not hostages to our past. We walk in the freedom Jesus has given us doing our best with the limited time that we have between our start date and our expiration date. Practice standing firm instead of falling down in the storm or when obstacles come your way. You were created for a purpose, so walk in it.

Hidden Figures
Genesis 32:22-30 | Thu, Jul 03, 2025 | Pastor Tara Taylor

Hidden Figures takes place in the 1960’s as the United States raced against Russia to put a man in space. NASA found untapped talent in a group of African American female mathematicians who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in United States history. Just like these women, we must be bold as we live life through the light of God’s Word.

Messianic Prophecies 16-20
Psalm 2:7-9 | Mon, Jun 02, 2025 | Pastor Terrell Taylor

Jesus is called the “Messiah” or “Christ” meaning the “Anointed One” in Matthew 1:16. The Old Testament prophecies the Messiah, and the New Testament reveals the Messiah to be Jesus of Nazareth. Today we looked at the prophecies that show how Jesus is the son of God, had the Spirit without limit, was anointed to set the captives free, is seated at the right hand of God and is our perfect High Priest!
