There's Purpose In Your Pain
Romans 8:28 | Sun, Jun 21, 2020

Our struggles don't always have answers in the moment—but even when we can't see it, they always have a purpose. When we’re going through trials, it’s tempting to look at our lives with a perspective of pain. But there’s a purpose in our pain. God never wastes a hurt, and how He’s preparing you for something far greater through the trials, struggles, and pain you’re experiencing now.

Love Reigns Over Our Present
Romans 12:1-2 | Sun, Apr 18, 2021

Summary: God’s great mercy became a transforming reality through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This mercy is a result of God’s love for us, and this love invites us to live differently in the present. We are to be living sacrifices that no longer conform to the patterns of the world. The world around us is deceptive, selfish, angry, and foolish. These cannot be the patterns we live by today.

Friction in Ourselves.
Romans 12:1-3 | Wed, Nov 27, 2024 | Pastor Terrell Taylor

Most Christians tend to see themselves either as worse than they really are or as better than they really are. You do not often find a person who has found a good balance within themselves to see themselves the way God sees them. We cannot conform to the patterns of this world, because these patterns cause friction within us. We cannot think of ourselves more highly than we ought, because it leads to friction. We must allow our minds to be renewed and refreshed by the spirit of God. We must have a sober self-assessment so that we can live our lives to the fullest.
