Summary: God graciously invites all to come to Him, but many are self-satisfied and preoccupied with their own lives and miss out on the invitation from the Father. The things we are concerned with may be legitimate but should not dominate our lives. Only those who are aware of their inadequacy; the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame, will accept the invitation.
Summary: The man and the merchant risked everything for the treasure and the pearl. They wanted more than anything to learn God’s ways and become disciples who served in His kingdom. The kingdom is expensive. It costs everything the disciple possesses. There is major risk and self-sacrifice involved. But the joy of discipleship overpowers every worldly hindrance. God’s rule is worth the cost.
Summary: God’s unmerited or undeserved favor, can be seen in Jesus’ parable of the Workers in the Vineyard and the Fair Employer. We are challenged to follow His example. God is fair and just, and this story tells us about God and His unlimited grace for each person.
Because we have an unshakeable kingdom, there are four things that will never be shaken during this coronavirus pandemic and beyond. The throne of God, the Word of God, the Church of God, and the child of God will never be shaken!
